hey there everyone! Happy Halloween!
I am currently in Detroit! Well, actually Rochester, Michigan, which is 30 miles north of Detroit. I am developing an exciting new project called Saving Motown. The first part of the project is to put a 5.7L Hemi into the 1966 red charger that was featured in the movie Big Fish. The project was started by Dr. Patrick Dessert at Oakland University in Rochester. The ultimate goal is to inspire young children to get excited about math, and motor sports. In addition college age kids will receive hands on exprience rebuilding, and racing cars. This Charger will be touring around local schools and events. The college students will race this hot rod and others locally and nationaly.
I am here this weekend shooting the behind the scenes footage of the restoration of the charger for a show we are filming on spec for a new t.v. series.
It is so exciting! Tommorrow we will display the car at Walter P. Chrysler Museum. I will meet and interview the president of Chrysler, Tommy LaSorda,in addition to other execs. We are expecting much press!
I will tell you more when I return!
